LA beating victim Rodney King has died

Rodney King, famous victim of Los Angeles police brutality in 1991 has died, apparently drowning in a swimming pool.  He was 47.   His beating by officers was videorecorded, and when police were acquitted of charges against them in the case, riots erupted.  King publicly called for peace, asking, “Can’t we all just get along?”  That issue remains in doubt. Blogger sues Cumming mayor over Open Meetings incident

Blogger and local activist Nydia Tisdale has filed a federal lawsuit against Mayor H. Ford Gravitt and the City of Cumming alleging violation of Georgia’s Open Meetings Act on April 17, when Gravitt ordered her removed from City Council Chambers for attempting to videotape a regular council meeting.
