If you have an absentee ballot, drop the completed ballot in one of your county’s drop boxes. If you have a ballot and decide you want to vote in-person, take the ballot to the polls with you to have it canceled. That will save everyone time and headaches. It’s Sunday — Vote in DeKalb County today!

Sorry, Fran. There will be Sunday voting in DeKalb (but Tucker Rec is out) This has been a low turnout election, so far. The vote totals the DeKalb Board of Elections posted for Saturday are grim.  But hey, we can vote today!  Check out this resource: DeKalb County Voter Guide. Here’s a list of early voting sites and times: Only Dunwoody Library, the Board of Elections office, and South DeKalb Mall are open for voting today. But this is cool:

UPDATE: Download the complete early voting schedule from the DeKalb Board of Elections website. Despite public protest over the proposed shuttering of Tucker Recreation Center as an early voting site, the DeKalb Board of Elections voted today to approve staff’s early voting plan, which included a break away from using the center. So, no advance early voting starting April 30 in Tucker, although Tucker Library will open for voting May 14-18. After discussion, the Board voted 4-0 to approve Director Erica Hamilton’s proposal, which remained unchanged from the staff plan put forward at last month’s meeting. There will be only three advance early voting polling locations opening April 30: Dunwoody Library and the Board’s Memorial Drive offices will keep 7 a.m.-7 p.m.…

No Problem: Tucker Rec Center CAN be used for Early Voting in #GA06

Update on Early Voting in DeKalb Tucker Rec Center IS Available as #GA06 Early Voting Site   Backround: DeKalb County is considering adding Early Voting sites for the Sixth District runoff. Citizens have called for Tucker Rec Center to be added, along with Chamblee Civic Center.  Current policy only allows one early voting site, at Memorial Drive, several miles outside the district.  While it may not be the intent, the effect was voter suppression. Using Tucker would open up Early Voting to tens of thousands of people in the Southeast section of the Sixth. The Board is waiting until its May 11 meeting to to decide. Early voting starts May 30.
