1% of Ossoff donations would fully fund Sally Harrell’s GA Senate 40 campaign

Exciting news in Georgia: Georgia Democrats snatched three legislative seats y from Republicans. “The results are a rejection of Trump – it’s clear as day,” said state Rep. Scott Holcomb, D-Atlanta. “Republicans who continue to embrace him can start the countdown on their political careers.” However, if we’re going to kick out entrenched GOP incumbents–if we’re actually going to Flip Georgia’s Sixth Senate District–we need to support  strong local  candidates running campaigns within that district like Sally Harrell in Georgia’s 40th Senate District and Jen Jordan  in the Georgia 6th Senate District runoff December 5. It’s true: Jon Ossoff received $30 million in donations in his Sixth District race. And just 1% of that amount would fully fund @sallyharrellga‘s state Senate campaign. Read more…

Georgia PSC chairman Stan Wise hates John @NoelforPSC and showed it

John Noel showed up to speak at a Georgia Public Service Commission meeting today, ready to talk solar and conservation but mainly no Vogtle. He was not allowed. So he look a picture (above). Vogtle is the subject up for debate at the commission. The commissioners haven’t really been debating Vogtle, of course. Shoulda, but instead the five merry Republicans have been rubber-stamping utility requests like Harpo Marx. Commissioners are so deep in bed with Georgia Power/Vogtle that they’ve been reaching over and shutting off the company’s alarm clock every morning for years. Now, a wake-up call. Or two. Hell, make it twenty-five billion. Despite gaming the system completely and constantly getting its way at the Commission and Georgia General Assembly, Southern Company…

What Makes Sally Run?

I intended to sit down and write a strictly biographical piece about Sally Harrell, but first I want to address some drama that’s been playing out over the past few days in Georgia’s 40th District State Senate race. It seems Sally’s opponent got on Facebook and attacked her as the “establishment candidate,” backed by “the elite.” Some kind of deal was made! Well, no. Here’s the link to what I’m talking about—a secondhand, anonymously-sourced claim that Sally made a deal to get out of this year’s Sixth Congressional Race in exchange for support for her state Senate campaign. Which is ridiculous on its face, because anyone who’s been a three-term state legislator and geared up to run for Congress would be capable…

Swamp Thing: Georgia candidate calls for PSC chair’s resignation

Georgia Public Service Commission Candidate John Noel (D-Atlanta, pictured above) has released the following statement about the outrage-in-progress by hyper pro-utility, anti-consumer PSC chairman Stan Wise. Definitely worth a read, and John is definitely worth supporting. You can follow his campaign on Facebook and  Twitter @NoelforPSC Download a copy of PSC Chairman should resign pdf  BTW,  John has an awesome solar-powered home that was featured in a knockout Like Tesla video. Georgia PSC Chairman Should Do Us All a Favor and Resign Immediately (Atlanta) Recent news reports reveal that Georgia Public Service Commission Chairman Stan Wise plans to give Georgia Power the green light to complete Plant Vogtle, then resign to take a job in the utility industry.
