I’m Scott Holcomb’s yard sign guy, and over the past decade, I’ve regularly worked the area east of I-85 for Democratic candidates: The Tucker-Lakeside precincts, what I call “The Lower Thirteen.”  And I’ve gotta tell you: I’ve never seen anything like this year’s Sixth District Race. Nothing comes close to the frenzied energy of the countless volunteers in this race.. Here’s a DeKalb Schedule for Early Voting at Tucker, Chamblee, Dunwoody, Brookhaven, and Memorial Drive locations. Down  this Dekalb Early Vote Schedule, print it out, and give to people as you canvass and do other things to flip the Sixth!

DeKalb’s Pleasantdale Precinct gets no respect: ignored, gerrymandered, split, and now missing in action on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s election map.             Notice the missing chunk of turf along the DeKalb Gwinnett County line? That’s North DeKalb’s bluest precinct, crucial for Ossoff. It could be his key to victory in a tight race. While Pleasantdale gave Jon Ossoff his highest margin in Dekalb (80%), turnout was exceptionally low due to lack of canvass/contact and poor early voting sites. Three-quarters of Pleasantdale Precinct’s 3,500 voters didn’t vote in the April 18 primary. Turnout will be critical to improving Ossoff’s chances in the runoff. Saturday morning, I received an email noting a change in DeKalb County’s early voting schedule for Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District Runoff. Dunwoody Library is gone, replaced by Dunwoody Methodist Church. Disruptive, perhaps, but there’s some good news, as well: The new site will open earlier, on May 30, in line with the other new EV locations in Tucker, Chamblee, and Brookhaven. In a tweet, the Board (@DeKalbVotes) called this a “correction.” That’s not what it is. It’s a change. And as long as the Board is making changes—or “corrections”—I would suggest that an even more appropriate change/correction would be to bring the hours of operation at all Early Voting sites in line with widespread public demand for expanded hours from 7:00 a.m.…

Thanks to Sally Harrell, Pave It Blue, DeKalb County grassroots activists and the DeKalb County Board of Elections, the county has added Early Voting sites in Dunwoody, Tucker, Chamblee, and Brookhaven. Well done! Important points: There will be Saturday voting on June 10. Important change:  The Dunwoody Early Vote location has been moved to Dunwoody Methodist Church, and will be open for voting May 30, same as the other sites. I’m posting this so everyone can share.
