  Georgia Public Service Commission candidate John Noel is a longtime Democrat. He was elected to the General Assembly as a Democrat in 2002. He’s been involved in Democratic politics and voted in Democratic primaries and runoffs, not to mention general, special, and Atlanta city elections. If there was an election, he’d show up and vote. He’s attended every Democratic convention since 1992, when he was an intern for the Clinton/Gore campaign. Those are some serious bona fides. On the other hand, one of his opponents, Lindy Miller, not so much—at least not until recently. Updated post on this mess. Spoiler alert: It’s going downhill And then there’s this. 2nd Update: Maner says he isn’t withdrawing his challenge.  Update: Lindy Miller’s MVP data with the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office has been changed to clear up the discrepancy between her home and voting addresses–a discepancy that lasted at least four years. Filling in the blanks, it looks like the challenge sparked the change. Obviously, this was something she should have checked into as part of the self-vetting that comes (or should come) before the launch of a political campaign. That’s just Politics 101.
