We need to talk about Jon Ossoff’s endorsement of Lindy Miller

Jonathan Grant @Brambleman on Twitter After watching the video, I don’t know what Georgia Public Service Commission candidate Lindy Miller did to earn Jon Ossoff’s endorsement—or even how much it’s worth these days—but it deserves some discussion. First of all, Miller calls Jon Ossoff “one of my favorite leaders in Georgia.” I like Jon, too (I spent hundreds of hours trying to flip the Sixth District last year), but I wouldn’t call him a leader just yet. But hey, we tried! In his endorsement of Miller, who’s running against John Noel and Johnny White in Georgia’s May 22 Democratic PSC Primary, Ossoff talks about sustainability like it’s maybe a bad thing, but Lindy Miller will save it! This is tacit acknowledgment that Noel…

Sydney, the vote-grabbing dog

After a town hall meeting the other night, a woman told me she was torn between supporting John Noel and his Democratic primary opponent in a statewide Georgia Public Service Commission race —until she received John’s flyer. It has a lot of information, but it was this picture on the front that convinced her to back John, because a man with a dog like that is a man worth voting for. BTW, the lady is a veterinarian. Pic of the day: Solar-powered Georgia PSC candidate John Noel at Cobb County’s Donuts for Democrats

John Noel gave the featured speech to a big crowd–more than a dozen candidates for state and local office showed up to speak, mix, and mingle. But John … seriously, you’ve got to meet this guy! Here are some ways to keep up with John during the campaign: Check out this video: “Sticking it to the Man!” Read “John Noel is running with the sun” Visit John’s website On Twitter: @NoelforPSC Follow John on Facebook

Solar-powered Georgia PSC candidate John Noel builds momentum, takes lead in cash on hand

When looking at Georgia Public Service Commission races, it’s no surprise to see utility money flowing into GOP incumbents’ coffers. It’s the way they play the game. The shocker this year is that environmentalist John Noel—who is definitely not counting on utility support in his bid to unseat Chuck Eaton—has the most cash on hand of any candidate, Democrat or Republican. With only three months to go before the primary, this should be especially alarming to the competition. Not only that, but the news follows a whirlwind day in Athens for Noel that included a half-dozen media interviews and an enthusiastic response to his message: Ruth Pannill, president of Young Democrats of UGA, saw Noel speak at the Athens-Clarke County Democrats meeting…
