My second novel now has 40 reviews on Amazon.com, which seems like a milestone, of sorts. The average rating is 4.5 stars. (It would be 4.6 except for a 1-star review from a hater who lowered her rating to spite me rather than correct errors in her original review, like getting the main character’s name wrong.) Anyway, here’s the the latest review of Brambleman on its Amazon page, by ferri:
Amazingly good!
I don’t even know where to begin here. This is a long book, as some have pointed out, but that’s not a bad thing in this case! It’s a very complicated story. (Besides. I read Stephen King so long books aren’t a big deal to me!)
There is a little bit of everything in this story. Racism, love, hate, lust, humor (OMG the author actually made me laugh out loud a few times!) supernatural beings, funny old ladies and punk ass kids. lol I was hooked from the very first page and spent more time reading than i have in a very long time. As soon as I finished reading Brambleman I knew I would be reading it again. Wonderful!
One other thing, and this is pretty amazing to me, for such a long read there were absolutely no dead, draggy spots! I really would love to see a sequel! 🙂
