Above: Photo by Laurel Cantrell So why don’t we do this? Seriously. If we want to turn Georgia blue in the 2020 presidential election, we need a much better ground game. No Democratic challenger for a legislative seat in the state has a more advanced ground game than Resistance leader Sally Harrell. She just won a landslide victory in the primary and now she squares off against This Guy. Yeah, the one who wants to restrict black voters in favor of “more educated voters.” We have to beat this guy. You can help. DONATE! In 2017, Dems spent $30M on #GA06 and failed. Better strategy: build Dem strength locally: support former #GA06 candidate @sallyharrellga in #GASD40, Georgia's most flippable district. 1% of…

Pics of the day: Georgia Senate candidate and Resistance leader Sally Harrell
Judy and I hosted a “meet and greet” get-together to introduce Sally Harrell to some of our Northlake neighbors the other evening. Sally is running against an entrenched GOP incumbent, Fran Millar, who’s never faced a serious challenge before. This time is different: Sally has a well-organized, energetic and growing team of volunteers. And Senate District Forty has been changing. It’s now considered Georgia’s most flippable Senate District, which includes much of North DeKalb, some of Sandy Springs in Fulton, and Peachtree Corners in Gwinnett. Both Hillary Clinton and Jon Ossoff took the district’s precinct with around…
Sally Harrell ad: Latest shot fired in Georgia Senate’s most flippable district
That feeling when you have a solid message and your volunteer team includes television producers: While Sally Harrell faces primary opposition, her campaign will soon report successful fundraising numbers and an army of volunteers is organizing throughout the district. This is an incredibly well-organized, motivated team in the Heart of the Resistance, containing some of the bluest precincts in GA06. Sally has taken on many battle-hardened Ossoff veterans to make up her team, which would rival many Congressional campaigns in size. Well-funded, well-staffed, and supremely motivated. District 40 incumbent Fran Millar has never faced such a formidable opponent during his two decades in the General Assembly. His endorsement of Trump Administration policies and his penchant for impolitic, racially-tinged speech has hurt his brand…
