Her dog won’t hunt: Doug Collins fires back at Kelly Loeffler’s Poser ad

Above: No animals were harmed during the filming of this ad Note: Scroll down to see Loeffler’s original tweet and Collins’ response. Here’s the latest on feud from AJC. update coverage By Jonathan Grant @Brambleman Kelly Loeffler, Georgia’s selected U.S. senator, is all about #MAGA. She was appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp to go up to Washington D.C. and … do what she was told, apparently. Unlike Rep. Doug Collins, who is running against her, she is genuinely inauthentic. Collins is as authentic as hell, and will get in your face about it. He sports a Deliverance vibe, which is fitting, since Georgia’s 9th District is Deliverance country. Loeffler’s home turf is the New York Stock Exchange, which her husband runs. Culture…

Poser or Poacher? Sen. Kelly Loeffler parades around in ad with a gun, but there’s a problem with that

Kemp supposedly picked Loeffler to appeal to suburban women who are turned off by Donald Trump for reasons that…

Georgia is one of only four states without a hate crimes law. Wonder why?

Above: Georgia House candidate Mokah Johnson’s campaign focuses on hate crimes legislation If Gov. Kemp hates crime so much, why doesn’t he hate hate crimes? By Jonathan Grant @Brambleman Brian Kemp hates gangs. In 2018, the self-described “politically incorrect conservative” promised he would “protect Georgia families by crushing street gangs.” Now, his second year in office, the governor has unveiled his anti-gang legislation. One bill, the Nicholas Sheffey Act, would authorize stiffer penalties for gang violence, even though Georgia already has a tough anti-gang statute and Sheffield’s killer was sentenced to life without parole plus 675 years. Under Kemp’s plan, “In murder cases involving gang activity, defendants would automatically be eligible for the death penalty,” the AJC reported. “The death penalty can…

Teresa Tomlinson calls for Sen. Loeffler’s recusal in Trump impeachment trial

Sen, Kelly Loeffler joined PSC member Jason Shaw in his Georgia Power rate hike victory tour Or, how can someone so rich be so owned? By Jonathan Grant @Brambleman Freshly sworn-in Sen. Kelly Loeffler, hand-picked by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp to replace retiring Sen. Johnny Isakson, has, under terms of service, sworn her undying loyalty to Trump. She seems to have all her talking points—I mean beliefs—handed to her as part of the process. In a recent interview, Democratic Senatorial candidate Teresa Tomlinson, running against now-senior Sen. David Perdue, didn’t talk about Loeffler’s appointment, and complimented her past good works, but noted, “To the extent that she’s said she’s prejudged the circumstances, she shouldn’t serve on this impeachment trial.” Spoiler alert: Loeffler…

Recuse yourselves! Teresa Tomlinson calls on Perdue, Loeffler to step back from impeachment case they’ve prejudged

By Jonathan Grant @Brambleman As a lawyer, Teresa Tomlinson takes the Constitution seriously, and she doesn’t shy away from the impeachment debate. In a recent interview in her Columbus campaign office, she talked about the Founding Fathers, and how they set up the impeachment process as a safeguard against tyranny. She’s even tweeted out a Twitter treatise on Federalist Paper 66. She doesn’t want to see it as a political process, but as a Constitutional remedy to bad actors and demagogues in the White House. But it’s hard, if not impossible, to take the politics out of politics, as the old saying goes. In June, she said that House Democrats had a “duty” to begin impeachment hearings against Trump, regardless of…
