In Georgia Senate race, Teresa Tomlinson is winning the endorsement battle bigly

Update: Is Jon Ossoff the front-runner in Georgia Senate race? (Originally Published March 10) By Jonathan Grant @Brambleman In the endorsement game, Raphael Warnock captured the biggest prize for Georgia Democrats early on, when Stacey Abrams immediately signaled her full support for his campaign to defeat Sen. Kelly Loeffler. There are, in all, twenty-one candidates in that Battle Royale. A runoff between the top two November vote-getters is a certainty, but with eight Democrats in the race, it’s possible that the top finisher from Team Blue won’t play on, even with Abrams’ support. Abrams—who’s being discussed as a VP candidate—will likely stay out of the state’s other Senate race, where seven Democrats are vying to unseat David Perdue. Only three of them…

Teresa Tomlinson makes her case to send Sen. David Perdue packing

Teresa Tomlinson is all over Georgia The latest:  Tomlinson warns Democrats: Don’t blow chance to defeat Perdue Campaign Update: Home state advantage: $400K more in-state money, 3 times as many Georgia donors as Jon Ossoff By Jonathan Grant @Brambleman (March 3) — Teresa Tomlinson has been at this for a while. She’s been working longer than any other candidate to unseat Sen. David Perdue. And harder, in her view. “No one will outhustle me,” she insists. Her resolve—call it “Georgia Gumption”—is paying off. She’s drawing big, enthusiastic crowds: “the biggest crowds all across the state of any candidate,” she said. She’s also running up the score on endorsements. And to complement all that, fundraising is up. In a word, she’s got momentum. In…

Flipping Georgia: Democrat Teresa Tomlinson’s plan to beat David Perdue takes gumption

By Jonathan Grant @Brambleman First of all, let’s not forget the possibilities here. Georgia’s status as a 2020 presidential battleground and its two Senate races make it arguably the most crucial state on the electoral map. Both seats are in play, and both incumbents are vulnerable. Kelly Loeffler goes deplorable early and often Sen. Kelly Loeffler, who has spent her short time in office pledging loyalty to all things Trump and ignoring evidence in the president’s impeachment trial, still doesn’t know if she’ll draw major GOP opposition in the November jungle primary. The fact that she furiously trying to colled MAGA creditss shows she’s scared. It’s working, though. She got a retweet from the president, althoughshe had to RT another senator tweeting…

Success Story: Columbus GA celebrates euthanasia-free year under program Teresa Tomlinson started

By Jonathan Grant @Brambleman One of the Georgia Democrats running to unseat Sen. David Perdue in 2020 is not like the others. That’s because Teresa Tomlinson has a long track record of public service as the two-term mayor of Columbus. One of her efforts yielded success during her term, but the full effect came to pass in the year after she left office, reports WRBL.com: Columbus Animal Care and Control center is celebrating an entire year without having to euthanize any animals to make space. The center says they saw a decrease in euthanasia rates after former Mayor Teresa Tomlinson’s Save A Pet Program. It took effect almost 10 years ago. The innovative program was recognized at the time. Tomlinson’s website notes…

Georgia’s new Sen. Kelly Loeffler doesn’t know what she’s talking about, but that won’t stop her

Note: I’m collecting lies for a Georgia edition of Lies and the Lying Liars who Lie them. Send them to me! Especially valuable: GOP mailers, like this smear on Rep. Josh McLaurin that got the Georgia Republican party sued for libel. By Jonathan Grant @Brambleman Recently, Rep. Doug Collins said Democrats were in love with terrorists and was forced to  apologize for his wrongful nonsense. Impeached for Life President Trump, never one to miss a chance to go even lower—and who never apologizes—followed that up by retweeting a picture of Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dressed in Iranian garb by an Iranian flag. That’s some serious third-grade level taunting. Trump was roundly condemned, but #MAGA cheered him on,…
