TERESA TOMLINSON TO HOST VIRTUAL TOWN HALL

ON COVID19’S EFFECT

ON OUR CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IN GEORGIA

Columbus, GA – Teresa Tomlinson, two-term mayor of Columbus and candidate for U.S. Senate from Georgia will host a virtual town hall along with attorneys Gerald Griggs and Francys Johnson this Saturday, March 28, at 1:00 p.m EST. To register for today’s town hall, click here

“The Coronavirus pandemic has shown a number of weaknesses in our systems and our criminal justice system is not any different,” Tomlinson stated. “It will take strong leadership to pull us through this moment and ensure that we do not end up in a situation of this magnitude again.”

The town hall will touch on a range of topics from the recent coverage of depopulation options to adjustments being made within our criminal justice system to minimize the spread of the virus.

The Tomlinson Campaign is taking the concerns around COVID-19 (Coronavirus) seriously. We have converted a number of upcoming events to a virtual format in order to maintain the safety and well-being of those interested in learning more about our campaign.

Teresa has released this personal message in a video regarding the virus and its impact on our campaign. As the former mayor of Columbus, Georgia, Teresa Tomlinson served as the head of Homeland Security for the region, as well as public safety director. As she did when she held public office, Teresa is consulting with public health experts on how Coronavirus will impact our communities, and what steps we need to take in the future to protect our state.
